Everything the night sketches
with its shadowy hand:
the pleasures it reveals,
the vices it undresses.
Everything the shadows
make you hear
in the hard thudding silence:
the sudden voices
that randomly flare,
the bloody scream,
the rustle of a few lost
steps.
Everything the silence
makes things emit:
the haze of desire,
the sweat of earth,
the unlabelled perfume
of the skin.
