Bologna For Palestine

Anxious Magazine Bologna For Palestine

“Bologna for Palestine – Non-Stop Electroacoustic Improv” documents a live music relay with 17 musicians based in Bologna in support of the Palestinian population.

A three hour performance condensed into 20 excerpts that showcase the vital experimental scene of the city, from elegiac ambient bliss to pummeling noise, technoid mutations, sinister jazz, spoken word transfigurations, low thump grooves, vocal manipulations, desert guitars, alien IDM and collective chants. Furious, enraged and on point.

Agnese Banti, music tapes, live electronics, voice
Daniele Carcassi (Collettivo Minus), modular synth

The initiative was in collaboration with Arci Bologna (“Con altri occhi” campaign) and ARTISTS AGAINST APARTHEID global movement. It was documented by the filmmaking group Lele Marcojanni and was live streamed by Impulse Response on Fango Radio (Italy) and Radio Alhara (Palestine). It raised money for the community of Khan Yunis thanks to a direct connection with Canadian/Palestinian reporter Mansour Shouman.
