A!010 – Ignis Fatuus

Ignis Fatuus Anxious Magazine

Ignis fatuus, also called friar’s lantern or the will-o’-the-wisp is a flitting light seen at night, chiefly over marshy ground, and believed to be due to spontaneous combustion of gas from decomposed organic matter. It represents something deluding, misleading, or hazy that is chased for. Also, it is a flickering secret, small presentiments or faint shiver inside. Difficult to describe, barely palpable, but persistent.
